Derrell is the longest tenured agent at T. Okamoto & Co at over 37 years. He has been serving the Japanese American and Chinese American population in the San Francisco Bay Area and his specialties are single family homes and small income properties. He is considered by his peers as one of the friendliest of agents. But don't let that big smile fool you, he is very tenacious and says that once he gets a property in escrow, it will close.
Derrell has served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Association of Realtors and the Chinese Real Estate Association of America. At the San Francisco Association of Realtors he chaired the 3 on 3 Basketball fund raiser for the Kimochi Inc and the Japanese Cultural & Community Center and has chaired the Community Service Committee, the Education Committee and the Asian Council.
Among Derrell’s hobbies are fishing, basketball and pool. He currently lives in Mill Valley with his wife Yong and four children.
